“We like to party, so let’s open a Party Store!”

Robert and Mike two Dallas Mavericks season ticket holders in 2003 hatched out a plan to open a Party Supply store. After careful consideration, in February 2004 their company Southwest Party Factory, LLC signed a franchise agreement with a small little know Party store chain based out of Alameda, California called Party America. Now the big question was “we have a franchise agreement and no location, where are we going to put it?” After much searching, and putting up first born children as collateral a lease was signed. The space was renovated, merchandise rolled in and on November 26, 2004 Party America opened its doors for the first time to serve the partiers of Frisco, TX.

Growth came quickly and at the first Party America conference in 2005 as an operating store we were given the “Survivor Award” for surviving our first year in business. A fun award, but considering the Regional HQ for Party City is 5 miles away in Plano this was a testament to our employee’s dedication to providing the best place to shop for party supplies.

At the Party America conference in August 2006 we were able to show off a little as we were announced as the 2nd highest sales for all franchise stores. We were able to achieve this in only our second year of existence. It was a great time to be a partier in Frisco.

Things were going great and then in September 2006 the announcement came down that Amscan Holding the parent company of Party City had purchased Party America. For the first year Party America and Party City were run as separate entities and at the Party America franchise meeting in 2007 we were awarded franchise of the year!

Things were changing for our party heroes in Frisco. In 2008 Mike decided to leave the party for other opportunities and although he was missed, Robert kept the party going in Frisco. Over the next two years things became evident that Party America as a brand went from lame duck to as former Party America CEO Marty stated a dead duck.

Party America Frisco under the Party City model was profitable, but there something was missing. The magic of the party was gone. But how do you get that spark back? It finally became clear that the path of operating as a Party City was not the way. In the fall of 2010 Southwest Party Factory, LLC and Amscan Holding/Party City decided to part ways. Southwest Party was given the right to continue to operate as a Party America, but after consideration (and the fact Party City still runs the namesake website) it was time to move on with a new name and the website you are reading now!

Taking the best attributes of Party America and Party City while emphasizing our Texas roots and in February 2011 Party America Frisco was reborn as Frisco Party Station! There is no east or west coast bias here anymore since Frisco Party Station is completely run by Texans for Texans. We even have a Texas Flag plateline!

Like our great state our retail store has a large footprint. At 10,500 sqft we are big enough able to carry a wide selection of party supplies, however because we are not a part of a chain we are able make decisions that they simply can't. For example we offer over 70 different kid’s platelines. Many of these are from vendors our corporately run competition does not do business with. This is a significantly larger selection than the major Party chains or the big box retailer’s (Target & Wal-Mart) offer.

We do not sell "online items only" Period. We are a face to face company first and formost. If it’s for sale on the website it’s for sale in the store.

We also support local entities such as our local high schools. We have platelines, balloons, and decorations for Frisco, Centennial, Wakeland, Liberty, Lone Star, Heritage, Plano, Plano East, Plano West, Little Elm, Celina, and The Colony High Schools.

Frisco and the surrounding areas have people from all over the country with different college loyalties asked for their colleges and we listened. Frisco Party Station now carries over 20 licensed college platelines for our neighbors from other lands. This has been met with much appreciation and with the success of this program we are looking to add other sports as well. We also just recently added (March 2013) Balloon Decor and Free Balloon Delivery (yes you read that right our balloon delivery service is free) with the addition of David to our staff as our balloon decor guru, who has over 10 years of balloon decor experience to his resume. If you need to contact him his direct line is 972-668-1962 or you can contact him at david@friscopartystation.com .

Outrageous customer service is our number one goal which is why you will never visit our store and not be able to find our friendly staff on hand to help you with you party needs. Our store manager Kirk has been with the company since our founding in 2004 and has been a driving force in our becoming more customized to the wants and needs of our neighbors in the greater Frisco area. If there is anything you need you will be impressed with his knowledge in the party industry and the lenghts he will go to help you make your event a success. We will never be perfect, but that's never stopped us before from trying! We also want your feedback, so if you do not feel as if you were not given Outrageous Service please visit the Customer Service section to let us know, so we can make it right. We are not out for global domination of the retail party supply market we just want to give our neighbors a great experience when you shop at Frisco Party Station.
